New release for Bimeye
Project Configuration
In accordance with our Room release we have made some updates regarding our Start from existing (copy a project) and our option to copy Parameters and -Groups.
- When selecting the option, you will copy Parameters and Parameter Groups including custom made project specific Parameters added to System Parameter Groups like Function, and Materials
- When not selecting the option to copy Parameters and Parameter Groups, System Parameter Groups will still appear in the new Project but without the project specific Parameters that has been added to these groups
Report and reporting services
Grouped Revisionreports
- Data is grouped by parameters with the “@” symbol in the template, like @{Parameter name}
- You can see the difference between data from first snapshot (snapshot from) grouped with commands from template and data from second snapshot (snapshot to) grouped on same way (same parameters) and the difference is indicated with coloring
- If there is any difference in the number of instances in the grouped list between these two snapshots, the old value will be inside parentheses and the new without
- Added possibility to upload new template type Report including changes
- A new message is displayed when using different images in a Grouped report
- Fixes for creating Changelog and Changelog reports with parameter names commands and repeating type
Phases*
- The relation between Instances and phases from Revit are reflected in the Data Grid
- Phases added to the Grid Filter. Room projections reflected by selected phase are displayed on instance grid
- To use this new phase functionality, you need to turn on the Use phases functionality by editing your existing project or selecting the option when creating a new project
- Please note that if you enable this option on existing projects you need to Recreate Data Grid
Parameters and Parameter Groups
- Global Room Level parameter is now available on rooms. To view the level on each room, you need to Recreate Data Grid
- The name of each Parameter Group now needs to be unique per object type, i.e. only one Parameter Group called Status on instances objects
Items
- New feature for creating items, starting from existing (copy)
- When starting from an existing item the item form will contain all values from the selected one except the leading value
- You may then change whichever values you would like and create a new leading value, since this must be unique for each item
- When searching for items we have made improvements, so that we expand the items that match the search and highlight values matched
- When you are linking an Item to a Parameter Group you can now use the Go to this item as a shortcut for editing the Item and you can also get back to the previous Data Grid
Project Services and Permissions
- Fixes and improvements to permissions regarding Room and Req functionality
- Project admin has all permissions on Room grid without the need to set separate permissions for every system parameter group
- Fixed a bug where users without specific permissions to system parameters groups could not open Object detail even though they had access to see or edit parameters that are not part of the system groups
- Added permission setting to the ability to Add Room so that users need to have the Edit Data permission on Project level to be able to add new rooms without models to the project
- Users with only View permission is not able to Recreate Data Grid anymore
Synchronization
The size of data sent in one sync from the model to Bimeye is now controlled by having a maximum size. If sync exceeds the limit a message will appear in the design to client:
The synchronization will not be completed. Data Size exceeds the limit of what is allowed.
To reduce the amount of data in a synchronization, you can:
- Divide the model into several
- Disable categories in the project configuration in Bimeye
- Disable sync direction on parameters
Note: The initial part of the sync process is still performed, including eventual parameter creation and updating metadata sent from BE to the model. The user can use Undo to revert the sync if needed with in Revit and Archicad, but not in SimpleBIM.
*Only available for models synchronized with Autodesk Revit
