The Status Board lets you track your BIM objects statuses. The board consists of the following:
- Milestones in columns in order from left to right.
- Cards with groups of objects with a status given by the column.
- Actions to manipulate the board like delivery summary, edit data, group and search options.
- Overall statistics.
We will go over each of these more in detail below. The simplest use of the board you can get is to click on a card and move the enitre card to the correct status.
If your project is set up with Deliveries you can see the Delivery summary for the card, where completed objects can be individually be progressed.
In addition if you would like you can deep-dive into the object group by clicking on “Edit Data”. You will then enter the Data & 3D grid view with those exact objects from the group. If you would like you can also specify what Bookmark you would like to use, this will help you get the exact information you need or you want to add to those objects.
Before we go into detail you can see an example in use here where we want to approve the doors of the first floor.
To check the progress for a card or group of objects you can edit double click the card or open the Delivery summary from the actions at the top of the Status Board.
Here you will find a summary of what Deliveries are completed and still pending. If there are objects that meet all Deliveries, it will be possible to quickly progress these but keep the rest of the objects that do not yet meet the Deliveries.
By clicking on the Edit data button, we can take a deep dive into the Doors on Plan 2. In the Data & 3D view we can quickly get an overview of what needs to be done to approve these doors. Notice how some of the doors seems to have incorrect floor association?
Statuses & milestones
Each status has its own column in the board. These are ordered from left to right and the first column will always be “No status” for all objects that does not have a particular status. In other words, all new objects will always be in this column before they get their status.
Cards
A single card is represented by the data the group consists of to the left and the number of objects fitting those data values (and the appropriate status) to the right. From the example below we have the Model “Arkitekt”, Category “Doors” and the Global Level “6. Etasje” selected. If you drag the card you can move that group of objects into a new column to change status.
Delivery summary
To check the progress for a card or group of objects you can edit double click the card or open the Delivery summary from the actions at the top of the Status Board.
Here you will find a summary of what Deliveries are completed and still pending.
- The 9 objects that meet all Deliveries can quickly be progressed by clicking the button at the bottom and still keep the rest of the objects that do not yet meet the Deliveries in their current status.
- For each Delivery pending the exact number of objects that fulfill and remain is listed as well. In this example Lås og Beslag still needs to enrich 6 objects to meet the Delivery for Sylinder, Låskasse, Sluttstykke, Vrider.
Notice that expired objects will be indicated in the Delivery Summary and these objects cannot progress their status or be updated in any other way. Therefore, it is very important that the project pays attention to model objects that are deleted so that these changes are made intentionally since the project relies on data coming from the model and the added data in Interaxo BIM Data. Click here to read more about expired objects.
Deliveries are a part of the Status Settings of the project. If you want to look at all your deliveries you can find a list by going to the Status Settings and the Deliveries tab.
Deep dive into the data
If you have work remaining in the Delivery, or you would like to check more in detail you can open the Grid and 3D view from the status board by selecting the card you would like to work with and then click “Edit data” and select from the available bookmarks for that Model & Category. We recommend that you select a bookmark and set these up so that it is easier to have the relevant information available when you select take a closer look at a group.
Grouping and search
By default, all objects will be grouped into their originating model and category before they are divided into their corresponding status column.
If you would like to be more granular or specific about the group of objects you want to work with, you can breakdown the group data on any parameter available in your project. You can also search for a parameter you want to group by. After you have selected your parameter of choice the board will be reloaded, and you can work with new groups of objects and values for the selected parameter is presented at the bottom left of the cards. If the object group has no values for a given parameter, it will be left blank in that card.
Also available is a general search bar for the whole board. This search will filter the groups or cards based on the information available in the board including the breakdown parameter.
Interaxo BIM Data will recall both your breakdown parameter to next time if you leave the board as well as any active searches for specific values. If you want to see everything just remove the filter or the grouping.
Statistics
In the board you can also see some statistics.
Amounts are available for
- Each Card – group of objects
- Each Column – summarized for that Status/Milestone
- Filtered/visible objects and the total number of objects in the whole board
