Introduction
As a Community Administrator, you can clean up the member list by deleting users with status Not accepted from your Community. These are typically users who were invited, but never logged in.
This makes it easier to:
- remove old or incorrect invitations
- keep the member list up to date
- see who actually participates in the Community
Below is a short guide on how to delete members with status “Not accepted”.
User guide
Find members that can be deleted
- Select the correct Community in the left menu.
- Click Members under the Community section.
- Click Switch to status view in the top‑right corner (
).
- In the status filter (for example All users), choose Not accepted.
The list now shows only members who have not accepted the invitation.
Select and delete members
- Tick the checkboxes to the left of the members you want to delete – you can select one or several at the same time.
- When at least one member is selected, the Delete button becomes active (top‑right in the yellow bar).
- Click Delete.
You will then see two confirmation dialogs:
- First: Are you sure you want to delete these X members?
- Then: Are you really sure you want to delete these X members?
Choose OK in both dialogs to complete the deletion. If you choose Cancel in either dialog, the process is stopped.
What happens afterwards?
- Members that could be deleted disappear from the list.
- A message at the bottom of the screen confirms the result, for example: 3 of 3 selected members have been deleted.
If one or more of the selected members can no longer be deleted (for example because they have become active in another Community):
- Only the valid members are deleted.
- You see a message showing how many were actually deleted, for example:
1 of 3 selected members have been deleted. - The member that could not be deleted is marked with a red exclamation mark (!) on the left.
Hover over the exclamation mark to see the reason, for example:
This member can no longer be deleted because the access has already been activated.
