Command Line Installer Instructions

Outlook2Web can be installed from the command line to make large deployments simple to automate.

• You can manually force per-machine installation mode (need admin rights and elevating privileges via UAC) by specifying /admin or -admin option after Outlook2Web*.exe file in command line.
• You can manually force 32-bit installation by specifying /x86 or -x86 option (or force 64-bit version to install using /x64 or -x64 switches) after Outlook2Web*.exe file in command line.
• You can prevent Outlook application restarting using /nooutlookrestart or -nooutlookrestart command line options.
• You can provide activation key for auto-activation during install or auto-deactivation during uninstall by using /key= or -key= options followed by activation key value after Outlook2Web*.exe file in command line.
• You can force quiet installation mode (without any UI) by specifiying /silent or /quiet option after Outlook2Web*.exe file in command line. Note: Outlook restart feature automatically disabled in this mode (you can still provide /nooutlookrestart switch but it's not necessary).
• You can select default drag output format for emails by specifying /format= or -format= options followed by one of these strings: eml, msg, zip+eml, zip+msg, eml+files, msg+files or files. All other strings will be ignored.
• You can select default drag output format for calendar items by specifying /calendar= or -calendar= options followed by one of these strings: msg or ics. All other strings will be ignored.
• You can select default drag output format contacts by specifying /contact= or -contact= options followed by one of these strings: msg or vcf. All other strings will be ignored.
• You can disable automatic updates checking by specifying /noupdatescheck or -noupdatescheck option after Outlook2Web*.exe file in command line.
