This guide provides an introduction on how to open and use the AI-assistant in Interaxo Project. We explain what access the AI-assistant has and how you can provide it with context to get more precise answers. The goal is to give you a good starting point to understand what the AI-assistant can help you with, and how.
Activate and Open the AI-assistant
Once the AI-assistant is activated, you can find it by clicking the “AI-assistant” button at the top right corner in Interaxo Project.
Writing Messages to the AI-assistant
When you click the button, the conversation window opens on the right side of the screen. Here you can type questions and instructions to the AI-assistant.
Type in the conversation window and press Enter or the blue arrow to send the message. You can write in natural language, much like talking to a colleague.
Access Control: What the AI-assistant Can See
The AI-assistant follows the same permissions and access rights as you have. It can only retrieve and read content you already have access to, and nothing more.
This includes, among other things:
- Your user profile
- Rooms and folders
- Entries
- Files and content within files
In other words: the AI-assistant will never give you access to anything you did not already have access to.
Context: How the AI-assistant Understands Where You Are
The AI-assistant detects where you are within Interaxo Project, for example if you are inside a specific folder, have opened an entry, or have selected multiple files at once. This provides the assistant with context, and it will try to respond specifically based on what it has available.
Examples of context the AI-assistant can use:
- Community and rooms you have opened
- Folders and documents you are in
- Entries you have opened
- Files you have selected yourself
The more relevant context the AI-assistant has, the more precise and useful answers you can expect.
Select Files to Use as AI Context
The AI-assistant works best when you choose which files it should use as context. Click an item so that it is checked in the selection box, as shown in the red box below. The selected files will then appear at the top of the conversation panel. These items will be used as context for further answers and work with the AI-assistant.
Ask Questions About Document Content
You can ask questions about the content of uploaded documents, files, and attachments. The AI-assistant also understands folders, folder types, and entries.
Select a specific file or entry, and ask the AI-assistant to retrieve specific topics or clauses from contracts and technical documentation, instead of manually searching through the document yourself.
Recent Events and Project Activities
The AI-assistant has an overview of activities performed in the project room. This means it can find events such as:
- Newly uploaded files
- Modified files
- Files that have moved between steps in a workflow
- Time, date, and performed by
You can therefore ask the AI-assistant for a summary of recent events in the project, or within a specific workflow.
Conversation History
Currently, the AI-assistant does not save conversation history. All conversations between you and the AI-assistant are temporary and stored only during the active session.
This means that if you close and reopen the page or refresh the browser, a new session starts and the previous conversation history is deleted.
