Permissions in a project
The administrator will set up and configure permissions for a project. Administrators can manage users, add/invite new ones or remove them from the project. Any administator has the rights to manage a project but for higher level access, like creating new projects please look at the Company permission section further down.
Invite and assign users to a Role or Group directly from a project
The administrator can invite users to the project, you assign them to a Group. When the user logs in to Interaxo BIM Data to get to the project, the user automatically receives the rights associated with the Role or Group.
Predefined permission groups or Roles (Administrator, Participant and Observer)
If you just want an easy way of managing users there are three levels of permission groups or roles in every project that is always available. These are Administrator, Participant and Observer. The Administrator can manage the project, including users and models, and they have full access to the project. Participans have full access but can't mange users or models and lastly the Observer can only view information in the project, they can't manage or edit data.

Company permissions
Invite to a Company with one of the predefined Roles assigned
As a Company Administrator, you can manage and invite users at the Company level. Either as a Company Administrator or as a Projects Administrator or as an Observer.
Projects Administrator cannot manage users at Company level but can manage all projects and create new ones. Projects administrator can invite users to projects and assign them to Groups.
Typically, a Projects Administrator create a new project and invites an Administrator for that single project who again will invite users and sets their permissions.
Observer is a role that every other kind of user will get on Company Level. Note that even Administators for a single project will be listed as Observers in the Company user list.
Known issues & limitations related to Permissions:
- Limited model permissions will not protect users from having access to reports containing data from any model in the project
- Limited model permissions will not protect users from making snapshots with data from all models to be later used in reports and revisions
- “Edit data” on both Project and Models is required to be able to use import, snapshots, recreate data grid & revision in individual models (for edit in grid & object detail it is enough to have “Edit data” on model level)
