Images, intro
To manage images in Interaxo BIM Data, you can upload and manage which types of objects they should be available to connect to. In the menu under "Actions" you will find "Images".
To manage images with the Revit Design Tool Client, read more here.
In Images you will find manually uploaded images in browser but also images that come from models (Only Revit), created by the Design Tool Client there.
Tags
Before you start uploading images, you must create one or more Tags. A Tag represents which categories of objects should be able to use this image/s and which type of image. This Tag is then used on the report to include it there.
Create a Tag with a name and then choose which active categories in the project this Tag should be available for.
A Tag can be linked to one or more categories based on the purpose of the image. The image below is an example of a product image for interior design (fixed and movable). This Tag is then not adequate in this example for other categories, but of course it could be if a product image could be linked to objects in other categories.
If you want to change later which categories this Tag should be available for, you can click Edit on the Tag.
Image upload
Upload one or several images.
Allowed formats is jpeg, jpg and png. The maximum size of each image is 5 MB.
Update image
To update the image click the Edit button on the image and upload the revised image.
In the upload dialog you can also see how many objects the image is linked to.
Manage images in Grid
When editing objects from grid you can in Object detail under "Images" add pictures.
If there is no image holder here, you need to add a Tag for the type of category being edited.
Click "Assign" for the Tag you want to add an image to.
Browse or search for the image you want to link to your item(s).
Search and pagination when attaching images to tags in object details making it easier to search and select the appropriate images when there are many images uploaded.
TIPS: If you name your images by the identifying marking or type it will be much easier to find when you search. For example door type and number for doors.
Images uploaded to the object detail will be automatically available to the selected objects for the appropriate tag making it a lot easier to add images to the correct objects
When you have selected an image, don't forget to click save.
