In this article, you will learn how to add new model files, upload new versions, and use version history in a folder. We support viewing of the following formats: .IFC, .LAZ, and .LAS (point clouds).
Add a New Model File
Our standard method for uploading new files is as follows:

Open the desired folder

Click the New... button and select Upload File
or
Right-click on the desired folder in the folder structure and select New... > Upload File -
Select one or more files (hold Shift or Ctrl to select multiple files)

Click the Open button
Alternatively, via "drag and drop":

Navigate to the folder where you want to upload the files

Open the folder
-
Use Windows Explorer to locate the files you want to upload

Select the files, left-click and drag them into the folder in Interaxo Project, and drop them there
Add a New Version of a Model File
Our standard method for uploading new versions is as follows:

Select a file and choose More options > Add new version,
or right-click on the file and select Add new version from the menu -
Click the Add File button to choose a new file from Windows Explorer

Select whether this should be a Minor Version or a Major Version

Add a version comment if desired

Click OK to upload the new version
Alternatively:
-
Drag and drop a file with the same filename into the folder.
You will be asked whether you want to create a new version or a copy.
The copy can be renamed later, as it is added as a new file in the folder.
Or:
-
Upload a file with the same name to the same folder.
You will be asked if you want to create a new version or a copy.
Version History and File Control

Click the version icon
for the file you want to view past versions of.
(Previous versions are shown in a pop-up window called Version History.) -
Click Restore to create a new version based on a previous one.

Choose whether to create it as a new Minor Version or Major Version.
Original versions remain unchanged. -
Click Download to download a previous version.

You can also preview the file in the built-in document viewer in Interaxo Project.
In the top menu, you can click Version History.
Preview and Opening
When you click on an IFC file, it will automatically open in the 3D Viewer.
No installation is required – the viewer runs directly in your browser.
You’ll see the full geometry, including object information from the model.
