Summary:
In this user guide, you will learn how to:
1. Getting Started - How to open "Add Connection" and search for an entry to connect.
2. What the Connection Can Be Used For - Understand that the connection is completely open, across processes and products.
3. Step by Step - Search, connect, navigate between, and remove connected registrations.
This guide shows step-by-step how to use Connected Registrations in Interaxo Capture.
The following will be covered:
1.0 What Are Connected Registrations
Connected registration allow you to connect any registrations to any other registrations – completely without limitations*. The connection is not dependent on which process the registration belong to, nor is it limited to one product: you can connect across processes within Interaxo Capture, and across to Interaxo Project.
Two typical examples:
-
Across processes in Capture: Connect a task to a deviation to document what work has been done to correct the issue.
- Across products: Connect an issue in Interaxo Capture to a change order in Interaxo Project to show which issue on the construction site is the reason the change order was created. This way, the fieldwork in Capture is connected with the administrative processes in Project.
Note! An agreement on both products is required for it to work, and the customer must have adopted our new process folders.
2.0 Creating a Connection
- Open the registration you want to connect from.
- Click + Add Connection.
- Search for the desired entry (see section 3.0).
- Click + Add next to the result you want to connect.
3.0 Searching for an Entry
The search in "Add Connection" gives you results across all processes and products – both registrations from fieldwork in Capture and administrative processes in Project (for example, change orders) appear, as long as you have access to them. This way, you can quickly find the right entry no matter where it comes from.
Some practical things to know about how the search works:
- The search looks at the registration title. Therefore, enter a word or phrase you know is part of the title for the best results.
- Press Enter or click the Search button when you have finished typing to update the results.
- If the search finds no results, "No entries" will be displayed.
Each result is displayed as a card with three elements:
- Registration Title – Displayed in bold at the top of the card.
- Process Type – Displayed in gray text under the title (for example, Documentation, Inspection, or Deviation).
- Icon – Shows which product the entry comes from. Entries from Interaxo Capture are shown with the Capture icon, while entries from Interaxo Project have a separate Project icon.
This way, you can quickly see if the result comes from fieldwork in Capture or from an administrative process in Project, even before you open it.
4.0 Navigating Between Connected Registrations
Connected registrations are displayed under connected registrations. Click a registration in the list to open a preview in a side panel, showing the key fields of the connected registration. From here you can:
- Click the back arrow to close the preview.
- Click Open Entry to open the full registration.
5.0 Removing a Connection
- Click the x next to the connection you want to remove.
- Confirm the removal.
6.0 Typical Ways to Use Connecting registrations
- Connect a task to a deviation internally in Capture to document what work has been done to correct the deviation.
- Connect a deviation to a change order in Interaxo Project to show the connection between findings in the field and administrative decisions in the office.
- Connect documentation, inspections, deviations, and tasks across processes to gather all context around a case in one place.
