The BIMEYE 3 web and the design tools client have been updated.

Update BIMEYE web

NB!   If you do not have access to the updates on BIMEYE web, you need to properly clean your browser's cache!

In Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge webbrowser: Press the keyboard buttons Ctrl + Shift + I (letter "i")  and then right click on update symbol and choose "Empty cache and hard reload", (SE:"Töm cacheminne och gör hård inläsning"). When done press Ctrl + Shift + I again to exit to normal mode.

Apologize in advance for having to do this in order to access the update on the web.

The browser will do a new read of the userinterface and functions on BIMEYE website and will replace old cached.

This also gives you access to the slightly updated Permissions (if you previously had it due to the rights set to your user)

New version on BIMEYE 3 is 3.5.0

Update design tool client

To do update on design tool clients, you need to download the new one of your taste and install it.

Design tool clients available for: Revit 2019, 2020 and 2021, Archicad 22 and 23 and SimpleBIM 8 (IFC).

You will find the site for the design tool clients download, down the left side of BIMEYE

New version for design tool clients Revit and Archicad is 30.4.1.641 (former version 30.3.1.559).

 

1       Highlights on update

1.1       BIMEYE on the web

• Permissions for Public and Private list and a new icon showing the difference between lists.

• Added a Sunburst visualization in the project detail for models, levels, categories, number of objects per categories

 

• Clickable url-links in Object detail.
• Excel import of url-links (to URL parameters).
• Improved unbind and reset items workflow in object detail.
• Separated refresh and Recreate button.

2       BIMEYE 3.5.0, on the web

2.1       Permissions

• Created the new modal which enables applying generic permission template on multiple users

 

• Adjusted permissions for manipulating lists in the Data grid by different users
  • Public lists can be edited and removed by the project Admin and the list creator
  • Private lists can be seen and edited only by the list creator

 

2.2       General improvements

• Improvements and stability for expired objects when performing multiple consecutive synchronizations with Design Tools Clients
• Mapped properties improvements.
• Projection and binded properties info implemented to active parameter grid
• Import and export of different values on Parameter detail page
• Improved Project and Model information

2.3       Data Grid

• Refresh button renamed to "Recreate" and implemented the new button for refreshing Data grid
  • Recreate button recreates the whole worktable as before (previous Refresh button)
  • The new Refresh button works similarly to f5: it will reload a part of the page where Data grid is
  • User is informed with the modal about consequences and have confirm and cancel buttons when refreshing Data grid
• Users enabled to see if the lists in the Data grid are public or private by adding an icon next to the list name
• Proper URL import on Excel import on Data grid
• Clickable url-links in Object Detail modal

3       Archicad design tool client

The features and functionality that are included in this release for Archicad client are based on development and improvement of client:

3.1       General

• New confirmation dialog on successful login
• Added Zones filter for invisible layers
• Removed warnings for Internal_Building and BuildingStoreys during property creation
• Added support for exporting geometry in shared coordinates from ArchiCAD
• Teamwork fixes, including selective updates on property level, special handling of IFC properties and improved messages
• Fixed view restore after save (flips to plan view) to allow for 3D export to automatically run after metadata export
• In room info is now properly calculated
• Added CurtainWallPanel and Skylight in room to/from calculations
• Object Finder dialog initial position on screen adjusted to not overlay error messages

 

3.2       Project and Model dialog

• Blocked refresh and auto-associate checkbox during list load. Added "spinner"
• Removed archive checkbox and "Undefined" models from model lookup dialog
• Added spinner while Model Settings dialog is fetching project- and model names

 

3.3       Property panel and parameter group item dialog

• Multiline text and URL parameters in the Property panel
• Bugfix of parameter groups with "sync from" parameters. They caused an error message when hanging group item in the parameter group dialog
• Parameter group item dialog improved with error handling for inconsistent Category config
• Bugfix of parameter groups without color causing all clients to become unstable/crash
• Leading parameter values can now extend over the full item list width without affecting column widths
• Fixed unlink of group item when the leading value parameter had associated property setting

4.1       New functionality

4.2       Fixes and Improvements

4.2.1      General

• Bugfix of Revit parameters unintentionally falling back to "Values are aligned per group type" when new categories are added to the project
• Bugfix for image name with special characters. Improved default naming for views/images

4.2.2      Parameter group item dialog

• Bugfix of parameter groups with "sync from" parameters. They caused an error message when hanging group item in the parameter group dialog
• Parameter group item dialog improved with error handling for inconsistent BIMEYE Category config
• Leading parameter values can now extend over the full item list width without affecting column widths
• Unlink of group item works when the leading value parameter had associated property setting
• Bugfix of BIMEYE Property Panel internal exception when current element had Sync Flag set to false

5.1       General

• Multiline text and URL parameters in the Property panel

• Object Finder dialog initial position on screen adjusted to not overlay error messages
• Changed mapping of IfcSlab from Floors to Slabs_Floor
• BIMEYE Property panel is now sorted correctly (properties end up in correct property groups) and property group names no longer affect the width of the property name column
• UI Changes

 

5.2       Project and Model dialog

• Blocked refresh and auto-associate checkbox during list load. Added "spinner"
• Removed archive checkbox and "Undefined" models from model lookup dialog
