Introduction
Associated with the room object information on, for example, materials on different finishes.
Room Data Sheets can be used to communicate the client’s detailed room descriptions and requirements for each room on a project. They can be prepared by room types or may define the requirements for each individual room. They may also include general requirements and guidance notes. They may be prepared by the client in the first instance, and then taken on and developed by the design team, to eventually include actual specifications.
What can be included in Room Data Sheets(RDS)?
They include information about the room including its name, number, location, and use and then detailed descriptions of all the finishes, fixtures and fittings, mechanical and electrical requirements and so on within the space. This information can vary greatly depending on the requirements and what type of space they are for. Typically in Sweden often create architect RDS for finishes etc.
Detailed descriptions
Materials and Objects.
Room descriptions is used to create different descriptions reports or/and adding information to the room/space/zone that is important for the maintenance of the building.
In the Object detail window you can for example assign defined surface materials in a room and the colours, manufacturer. This applies to objects as well. And you can work with all other information that you may need to add to your room/space/zone, like requirements, air flow, climate, illumination, personal load, equipment etc.
Multi-edit of rooms
When you multi-edit in the Object detail window, you can see if several rooms have different materials applied. If a material has a blue background color there is a difference. Under the column "Selected rooms" you can see which rooms have the material in question.
When you multi-edit multiple rooms in the Object detail window with different objects applied, you can see this by the background being blue for the object. You can also see if the number set on the object differs (Diff valiues). If you change the number, all selected rooms will get the object with that number. If you do not change, it will be as before. Under the column "Selected rooms" you can see which rooms have the object in question.
Add items of materials and objects
Under Actions tab you´ll find the Rooms button. In here you will find the system configured parametergroups with lists that defines Materials and Objects.
In the Items tab you´ll find system configured parameters that always exist on those items. You are able to add your own on top of these. (Read more about Items)
IMPORTANT: The Parameter Material Type and on Objects; Object Type defines the subgrouping of the items. Eg on Objects, Interior, Equipment etc and on Materials, Floor, Roof, Footing etc.
