This article gathers short answers to common questions about Interaxo Capture. It is continuously updated as we see which questions recur.
1. General about Capture
What is Interaxo Capture used for?
Interaxo Capture is used to document nonconformities, observations and incidents, as well as to plan and carry out inspections/site walks for the client and consultants – both on mobile (app) and in browser (web).
Do I have to use both app and web?
No. Many field users work mostly in the app, while project managers and administrators use the web the most. Most projects combine both.
Does Capture work offline?
Yes, the app can be used offline. Registrations and photos are stored locally and synchronized when you are back online. The web solution requires a network connection.
2. User and login
Can I create a user myself?
No. You must be invited by the project manager or administrator.
I already have an Interaxo user – do I need a new one for Capture?
No. If you already have an Interaxo user, the same email address and password can be used when you are added to a Capture project.
Is the same password used for app and web?
Yes. The password is linked to your user and applies across both app and web.
3. Projects, areas and roles
What is the difference between an area and a project?
- Area: often a company, a department or a unit.
- Project (workspace): the concrete construction project you are working in.
I can see some projects, but not all I expect – why?
This may be because:
- You are in the wrong area.
- You are not added to the relevant project.
Contact the project manager or administrator.
Can I be in several projects at the same time?
Yes. You can have access to several areas and projects, and switch between them both in app and web.
4. Registrations and inspections
What is the difference between a registration and an inspection?
- A registration is typically a single event or observation (for example a nonconformity).
- An inspection is a more structured site walk with checkpoints and often several findings linked to the same round.
Can I add photos after a registration has been created?
Yes. Open the registration (in app or web) and add more photos or attachments if you have the rights.
Who can close a registration?
That depends on how the project is set up. Typically it is the project manager, the client’s representative or the person who has been given responsibility for the follow-up.
5. 3D model
Do we have to use a 3D model in order to use Capture?
No. Capture can be used fully without a 3D model. 3D is an additional option in projects that have a BIM model available.
What does it mean that a registration has a model location?
It means that the registration is linked to a position or an object in the 3D model, so that you can see it directly in the model.
6. Support and further help
Where can I find more detailed user guides?
In this help section you will find separate articles for app, web, administration and 3D, as well as short “getting started” guides.
Who do I contact if I need more help?
See the separate article: F4 – Contact and support, or contact your project manager/administrator.
