What to think about when setting up a project to work with Interaxo BIM Data.
Modelgroups
As Revit handles modelgroups in a different way then other objects in Revit our recommendation is to not have multiple instances of model groups with objects connected to Interaxo BIM Data.
Interaxo BIM Data client needs to be installed on all computers working with the Revit file
When working with model groups all computers need to have the client installed as we have functionality in the client to pick up on when changes is being made to the model groups.
Parameter values can vary between groups
When working with model groups with objects in model groups make sure that the parameters is set to:
"Values can vary by group instance"
For parameters that need to be able to have different values in group instances.
Make group editable before making changes
When editing groups and instances in a group make sure that the group is editable when changing objects in groups.
Curtain Walls
Curtain Wall – Doors does not have the same parameters as a conventional door in Revit
Parameters regarding host information is not the same for walls and curtain walls.
For example, Wall thickness.
Nested families
Controlling visibility of families inside a family
When controlling a nested family with a visibility flag Revit creates and removes that instance.
This means that when a nested family's visibility is turned off the instance is deleted.
Stacked Walls
Interaxo BIM Data does not support the object type Stacked Walls.
Xrefs
Interaxo BIM Data does not support/connect to objects in xref's. If objects in external references should be in Interaxo BIM Data, also connect these to the project and synchronize the objects there.
