Improvements
We are now coming with several improvements, including a series of upgrades for our 3D viewer.
1. Easier uploading of complex 3D models!
- We have launched a brand new back-end for our 3D model service, which removes previous limitations and enables support for larger and more complex projects. This upgrade lays the foundation for improved functionality - with support for point clouds (LAZ files) as the first news in our viewer! This is the start of a more powerful and flexible 3D experience.
(Note! Support for viewing Point Cloud is not supported in our Model Based Issue Viewer)
2. New, improved and more precise measuring tool!
We have upgraded our measuring tool, which allows you to check distances easily and quickly.
- Point to point measurement – Measure the distance between two optional points, with the possibility of precise attachment to objects via "Snap to Edge" where by default it attaches itself to the edge of the object. We're also introducing lens functionality to give you even better control over where to position the target point while moving.
- Cross measurement – New measurement functionality. Get automatic height, width and vertical distance to opposite objects in one simple operation. You can easily adjust the target points by dragging the origin to a new position.
Available now in full 3D view on the web! Soon also in app!
3. Simplification of our sectioning tool!
- The cutting tool has become simpler and more intuitive! The ability to specify degrees and rotation has been removed. Now the section is automatically created perpendicular to the selected object, which is the only option available.
4. You can now like a comment
We’ve added the ability to like a comment, making discussions simpler and more efficient by reducing unnecessary replies like “Agreed” or “Read”.
More about this:
- Like: Easily show that you agree or confirm that you’ve read a comment without writing a reply.
- Unlike: Changed your mind or clicked by mistake? You can undo it.
- See likes: See who liked a comment and how many have done so.
- Logged actions: Likes and unlikes are logged in the entry log and activities for full transparency.
