What are internal comments?
Internal comments represent information exchange and discussions that you do not want to share with all parties in a room. This is especially important when reporting non-conformities, processing change orders, etc.
In order to read and create internal comments on entries, the room members in question must be granted access to the Internal Comments group (ICG) in the Administration client. If you have this access, you can see all internal comments in all active folders to which you have at least read access in the room.
How do I use internal comments?
- Select comment type
The default view in Interaxo Project is comments that are available to anyone with read access to the entry or file.
To view and add internal comments, click Switch to internal comments.
Switch back to public comments by clicking Back to comments. - View internal comments
All internal comments are presented in a light yellow background color. You must be a member of the ICG view these.
Note that you can't see both public and internal comments at the same time. - Add internal comments
ICG members can add internal comments to entries and files. Internal comments are added in the exact same way as public comments.
If you want to notify certain users, you can use mentions. You can only choose to notify users who are members of the ICG.
You can add images to internal comments. - Edit internal comments
Only the Room Administrator and the user who created a comment (a.k.a. the owner) can change it. This is done in the exact same way as for public comments. - Delete internal comments
Only the Room Administrator and the owner can delete internal comments. This is done in the exact same way as for public comments.
Note: Room Administrators will have to be members of the ICG in order to see, add, change and delete internal comments.
