How to navigate around the model
How to access the 3D model
The user can open the model via the "drawings and files" tab in the left menu. Folders for each individual floor are listed, and on the right in the list view the user sees a cube icon . By clicking on it the 3D viewer opens and the corresponding model floor is displayed.

Floor plans or other PDF drawings can be displayed under the 3D model. This is set up under settings. (Note! User needs admin rights to set it up. See separate article)
How to navigate around the model
When the 3D model is opened, the user's starting point is from outside the model looking down at the model.
From there, the user can navigate using different methods:
- Left mouse pointer - Single click = Select object. Double click = Zooms in on the selected object. By holding it down, the user can rotate around the selected point.
- Right mouse pointer - Single click = Opens the task menu (specified further down the page) By holding it down, the user can move in all directions (up/down, left/right)
- Mouse wheel - Used to zoom in and out.
- Keyboard - The A, W, S, D buttons can be used to move forward, backward and sideways. Q and E are used to rotate around their own axis.
The taskbar
The taskbar is located in the middle of the screen and looks like this ,
and contains the following tasks:

Home button -
Sends you to the same overview screen as when you opened the model. All other settings are still enabled.

Measurement tools - The user can choose between two different measurement tools. "Point to Point" or "Multiple axes".

Point to Point
- Press a point. This will be the starting point for the measurement.
- Press point no. 2. This will be the end point for the measurement(The result is displayed immediately).
- To change the measurement, press and hold one of the points and move it to the desired position (New survey is displayed again immediately)
- If the measurement is to be made with an angle, the user will see the horizontal and vertical length in addition to the desired measurement.

Multiple axes (Laser measurement)
- Press the object the user wants to measure. The measurement is automatically displayed in vertical, horizontal and perpendicular to the object (stops the opposing object)
- To adjust the measurement, press the center of the laser and move to the new desired measurement. (New measurement is displayed again immediately)

Point to Point
Both measurements are finished by clicking on the measurement icon and then "remove all".
(Note! All measurements that have less than 2mm deviation will not be shown in the viewer)

Section tool

to start.
- Select the object on which you want to create a section (Sections are automatically created perpendicular to the point the user selects)
- To move the section you can choose either:
- Press and hold with the left mouse button on the tip of the arrow and drag back and forth.
- Press and hold the blue button at the bottom of the screen and drag from side to side.

Reset
- The user presses
and all adjustments or tasks performed are reset to the original view and viewing window.

Settings
- Language - The options are English, Norwegian, Swedish.
- Measurement unit - The options are m, cm and mm.
- Highlight on hover - Shows transparent boxes of volume of rooms (if available in the model)
- Navigation cube - For easier viewing perpendicular to the model from multiple angles.
- Background color - For personal expression, you can choose the background color in the viewer yourself.
Working with an object
To work with an object, right-click on the object in the model to bring up a task menu. The following actions can be performed from here:
Hide / Show All
By pressing "Hide" the user can hide the display of the object. Press Show All to bring all hidden objects back into view.
Make Transparent
By pressing "transparent" the selected object is not completely hidden, but made transparent.
Isolate
By pressing "Isolate" all other objects are hidden and the user can only focus on the selected object.
Information and Filter
Information and Filter are located at the top right of the view and contain information about objects and allow the user to filter at the object level or higher level (model, floor, object types, etc.).
Information
The information field shows all available information that the object has from the IFC file.
Filter
The filter contains all parameters found in the IFC file and filters based on them.
Hierarchy
Filters between all parent groupings found in the IFC file. Most commonly used here are filters based on categories. Wall, floor, windows, etc...
